Любимые фильмы: -50/50 (solid acting, compelling storyline) -ghost town (interesting, funny) -death at a funeral (british version) -iglorious basterds (a linguistic delight and a rare historical fiction that is gruesome and yet genuinely funny) -mystic river (well developed and artistic) -eternal sunshine of a spotless (jim carey, you are awesome) -12 angry men (love the delineation of thought in this one. rarely can a film keep interest even though it takes place in only one room) -shawshank redemption (wow what a piece! intertaining. excellent development of characters and good acting) -one flew over the cuckoos nest (nickelson is magnificent and the text is transcendent here) -big fish (ah tim burton and his wild imagination at its best) -batman begins (an ingenius twist on an otherwise iconic and cliche piece) -the good shepherd (love the acting and mood created in this piece) -a beautiful mind (superb acting and an intriguing unreliable protagonist) -glory (historically wondrous) -MEMENTO (a complex and thrilling ride. this messes with the mind in wonderful ways. what an amazing unreliable narrator) -death of a salesman (dustin hoffman and malkovic are out of this world spectacular) -hamlet (ethan hawke is wonderful and the modern twist doesn't destroy the text) -titanic (iconic and grand in its scope) -being there (beautiful black satire by my fav actor) -dr strangelove (my fav actor at his best) -i am legend (yeah, I shouldn't have put this one on the list but I can't help it; I love it) -million dollar baby (just plain good acting) -my fair lady (ahhhh yes, a linguistic delight) -michael clayton (new exploration in the genre) -getting rachel married (wow anne shocked me here; what a performance. i love he raw filming) -buried (gutsy filmography) -inception (smart, visually delightful) -the corpse bride (love smart stop motion animation) -the incredibles (iconic and fun) -the bourne trilogy (entertaining without being improbable) -12 monkeys (interesting, solid by pitt and bruce willis) -the usual suspects (nice twist, great action) -the pianist (by far my fav holocaust film to date) -black hawk down (wild ride) -equilibrium (spin off of F451) -rescue dawn (solid characterization and acting) -the prestige (nice plot twist) -oldboy (best south korean film. a revenge tragedy on steroids) -fear and loathing in las vegas (odd, twisted, freakin odd) -requiem for a dream (this is just plain disturbing--which is the point! I never want to be like one of the characters in the film) -following (nolan genius strikes again) -tsunami (1 & 2) (awesome acting, very compelling journalistic approach to the film) -Brothers Bloom (fun) -the machinist (psycho. the only thing is that christian is so skinny i am scared for him) -oh brother where art thou -lord save us from your followers (compelling, honest, aggressive, mind-changing, in Portland) -there will be blood (compelling, excellent acting, interesting plot line, dynamic characters) -dark knight rises (obvious reasons for this film's excellence) -no country for old men (interesting plot, solid acting) -religulous (eh, sometimes the combination of Bill's stupidity and American Christian's ignorance makes for a comical film) -source code (smart idea for a film) -brides maids (something about a naughty pleasure here--childish humor at best) -tombstone (iconic piece, good acting) -3:10 yuma (I enjoy the acting in this piece) -minority report (intriguing plot) -looper (solid acting, intriguing idea) -the illusionist (solid writing) -9 (smart animation) -another earth (creative, intriguing, thought-provoking)
