О себе: I live in central London, England and am a Co-CEO of Outsourcery, a world-leading Cloud Service Provider listed in the UK on AIM (OUT.L). Cloud-based software, unified communications and computing infrastructure represents a paradigm shift in the way businesses of all sizes will consume technology. Outsourcery’s has one of the broadest offerings in the world including platform, applications, unified communications, connectivity and professional services. Our aim is to remove the need for businesses to own and/or manage IT and communications infrastructure and applications. Our customers and partners’ customers can now consume complete ‘services’ instead of ‘tech’. Outsourcery has won many awards and after only two years in ‘hosting’ was named the Microsoft worldwide Hosting Partner of the Year 2010 and the worldwide Dynamics Hosting Partner of the Year 2010. Outsourcery was also a finalist in the Microsoft worldwide Dynamics CRM Partner of the Year 2011 awards and was one of three finalists for Microsoft’s worldwide Server Platform Partner of the Year 2013 award recognising the company’s underlying O-Cloud platform as world-class and the leader in Europe. Outsourcery’s customers include businesses operating across many sectors and ranging from start-ups to FTSE-100 customers and our partners include large UK telcos, systems integrators and IT suppliers. I’m probably best described as an entrepreneur although I have a wide breadth of professional experience. I started my first business when I was 13 years old and left a well paid job in the City in 2000 to set up a number of internet-based businesses. I attended my local comprehensive in Lancashire (North West UK) before getting my act together to go on to study Accounting and Law at The University of Manchester. In 1997 I qualified as a solicitor in the City with SJ Berwin, where I gained venture capital and private equity experience, before leaving law to join the UK investment banking team at Barclays de Zoete Wedd. I then worked at Credit Suisse First Boston (now Credit Suisse) as an investment banker in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and leveraged buy-outs (LBOs). I left banking in 2000 to co-found an Internet-based research business and then became the COO in a venture-backed dance music focused business that managed some of the world’s best known DJs and had a record label, marketing services division and an internet radio station. I have since been involved in a number of technology, media and telecommunications businesses as a founder, director, investor and adviser. Since 2008 I have built and sold businesses in the mobile, technology and unified communications sectors worth over £55 million with my business partner and we’re just getting started. In 2003 I became the CEO and a founder of an FSA regulated advisory boutique focused on alternative financing for small cap public companies. This led to me becoming a Partner in an alternative investment fund providing structured financing to US, UK and European small cap public companies. I also have an interest in developing financial and design solutions to alleviate the supply of affordable housing in the UK.
