Деятельность: Detrás de este nombre Albin Nox se esconde Nicolás Medina. Como músico que se considera más compositor que interprete empieza su andadura en la música como crítico musical y periodista especializado en músicas de vanguardia (nuevas músicas, electrónica, nuevo jazz, nuevo folk, new age, minimalista y música contemporánea), miembro y presidente de la asociación cultural AMEV, colaborador y organizador de festivales y otros eventos musicales y culturales, fundador de revistas, fancines y algún periódico. A principios de los noventa hizo varios programas de radio y alguno de tv. El más conocido era el programa de radio llamado El viajero imaginario. Luego se pasó al otro lado como agente musical y manager de grupos y músicos de distintos estilos musicales. Al borde del año 2000 dejó esta actividad para dedicarse a crear su propia música. Como músico su carrera comienza con el grupo Utopía; un duo junto al músico Ben Jiménez. El grupo nació a finales de 1990. Su primera maqueta contenía dos composiciones que se presentaron al famoso concurso GRRock (donde se dieron a conocer grupos como 091 y La Guardia) y aunque no ganaron el jurado dijo que fue la mejor maqueta pero que su música no era rock. Aparecieron nuevas maquetas y en el año 1992 su primer vídeo con un tema sinfónico-electrónico de 14 minutos. Después de varias maquetas en el año 2006 se publico su primer disco titulado “On The Other Side” en el que se incluían algunos temas de sus viejas maquetas, un disco a caballo entre la música electrónica y la new age. Antes, en 2004, publicó en solitario y con el nombre de Nicolás Medina el disco “El universo está aquí dentro”, un disco experimental y de electrónica minimalista. En el mismo 2006 publicó su segundo disco en solitario con el título: “From That Day On”. Un disco en el que se mezcla la electrónica con los instrumentos orquestales para conformar un disco que va desde el ambient y el rock alemán hasta la electrónica para crear un bello viaje sonoro. Desde 2008 empezó a funcionar con el nombre artístico de Albin Nox después de finalizar el proyecto del grupo utopía. Y en 2009 publicó el primer disco con este seudónimo (Albin Nox). Un disco más cercano al chill out y otras atmósferas mas bailables. Desde el año 2005 su labor en solitario y en grupo se fue enfocando más a la música para teatro y cine independiente dentro y fuera del país. A parte de su labor discográfica, desde el año 2010, un nuevo enfoque le ha llevado a apoyar grabaciones y hacer arreglos para otros músicos desde su estudio de grabación como técnico de sonido y productor. En su estudio “ El Viajero Studio” que está al sur de Granada prepara sus nuevas composiciones y apoya a otros artistas que están intentando abrirse un hueco en este difícil mundo de la música.
