You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state to another, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness. We must have felt what it is to die, that we may appreciate the enjoyments of life. Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude. The truest greatness lies in being kind, the truest wisdom in a happy mind. Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved. That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. The greatest part of our happiness depends on our dispositions, not our circumstances The world has to learn that the actual pleasure derived from material things is of rather low quality on the whole and less even in quantity than it looks to those who have not tried it. Independence is happiness.
