What is a hockey player? Being a hockey player is tradition, love, determination, dedication, sacrifice. Hockey player is who I am, what I’ve become. When you get to the rink it is hard to hold yourself together you are so excited. When you find your lucky spot in the locker room everyone gets changed into their running suit. Listening to the same song right before you hit the ice. Hanging out with your line mates before every game. The line meetings in the disgusting bathroom before every game. Before the coach comes in the captains and the vets getting everyone pumped and ready to go. The team prays before we exit the locker room as we are tightly huddled and prepared for battle. When you run throught the tunnel of fans, and hit the ice you hear the arena music pumping. You are feeling great and think life cannot get any better than this. The truth is, it can’t.
