О себе: I AM A JAPANESE STUDENT, ALTHOUGH I WRITE AND UNDERSTAND CHINESE LANGUAGE!! MY MOTHER LANGUAGE IS KANSAI DIALECT OF JAPANESE! 我不是中国人、是日本人!! Japanese and Chinese use common letters: 漢字. As you know, 漢字 represent not only some sounds but also some special things or means. So we Japanese can understand what Chinese people write to some extent. But, even having common letters, Japanese and Chinese is MUCH DEFERENT LANGUAGE in its grammer, pronunciation and etc... Some Japanese people, including me, study classical Chinese language and literature in high school, like some educated Europeans study Latin and Greek in their Gymnasium. And especially, I had been taught classical Chinese language and literature so much by my grandfather, a son of marchant and intelligentsia in Osaka. So I know much about culture, literature, politics and etc. in China and East Asia. But, the Chinese language I understand and write is so old, used in Tang dynasty era(618-907) or Song dynasty era(960-1279). So, of course, my Chinese language is MUCH DEFERENT FROM THE CONTEMPORARY ONE.
